The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is committed to excellence in education, research, and innovation. Established with the aim of nurturing the next generation of technology leaders, the department provides a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. Our curriculum is designed to align with the latest technological advancements, ensuring that students are well-equipped to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving IT industry. From artificial intelligence and machine learning to cybersecurity, data science, and software development, our programs cover a wide spectrum of emerging technologies.

Electronics and Communication Engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others. Electronics and communication engineering is one of the most sought after branches of engineering and technology in the modern day. The department has an efficient and dedicated team of staff. Staff members meticulously plan, train and guide the students in their academic activities. They conduct counselling to identify the weaker students and motivate them to achieve higher academic levels by conducting tutorial and additional coaching classes. The department has set up a department library with a collection of 700 books catering to the requirement of the Visvesvaraya Technological University curriculum. The department has five separate laboratories. It has Communication laboratory, Analog Circuits laboratory, Digital Circuits and Microprocessor laboratory and the Computer laboratory. The department encourages the students to take up innovative projects as a part of fulfilment of the Visvesvaraya Technological University curriculum. Under the banner of ‘Technovate’- the forum of the students, skill development and innovative programmes are arranged for the benefit of the students. Objectives The basic objectives of MBA Programme are: To equip students with necessary knowledge and managerial skills to occupy positions of management and administration in business, industry, public system and the government. To inculcate appropriate ethical values and attitudes among students to function effectively in the work environment. To provide a right mix of managerial and business exposure to function effectively in various domains of management. Purpose Students who complete the Master of Business Administration should be able to: Understand business management concepts and their applications to domestic and global business setting. Familiarize themselves with financial concepts, analysis and reporting systems. Identify customer needs and to participate in the process of developing products and services to meet their requirements. Realize production models, distribution systems, and their role in the value creation process. Understand the political, environmental, legal, and regulatory settings of the organization. Appreciate the importance of multicultural, ethnic, ethical and gender issues in the organization. Acquire leadership skills, understand group and individual dynamics, and be able to work in teams.
